The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is made from five teams from Melbourne (Ice), Adelaide (Rush), Brisbane (Lightning) and Sydney (Sirens) and Perth (Inferno).
The season is held over the summer months with the top four teams playing off in the finals over one weekend. The 2023/24 AWIHL Finals were held at O’Brien Icehouse of the weekend of March 9 and 10 with the Melbourne Ice Women’ team winning the McKowen Memorial Trophy, continuing their hold on the competition in recent years, winning seven of the last ten titles.

Saturday March 9 – Semi Finals

Bronze Medal Game – Adelaide Rush 4 win over Brisbane Lightning 2
Gold Medal Game – Melbourne Ice Women’s 4 win over Perth Inferno 1
