Ice Hockey Victoria


Ice Hockey Victoria (IHV) is the governing body responsible for promoting, managing and administering the sport within the state. IHV administers competitions for all levels, ages and genders, and also has a programme of player development activities, and is a strong supporter of the establishment of clubs and leagues across Australia. IHV follows requirements set by Ice Hockey Australia (IHA).

Ice Skating Victoria


Ice Skating Victoria (ISV) is the state administrative body for all disciplines of figure skating in Victoria. It incorporates Singles Skating, Pair Skating, Synchronised Skating, Ice Dance, and Solo Dance – for all skaters from beginners to champions. ISV conducts figure skating competitions and championships, as well as test sessions that follow the requirements set by Ice Skating Australia (ISA).

Victorian Ice Racing Association


The Victorian Ice Racing Association (VIRA) is the state administrative body for all disciplines of speed skating in Victoria. It incorporates ice racing, speed skating and short track – beginner to veteran, their national badge program ensures a quality learning and development path from their accredited coaches. Following the requirements set by Australian Ice Racing (AIR).

Victorian Curling Association


The Victorian Curling Association (VCA) is Australia’s largest curling association and the home of curling in Victoria for over 30 years. Based at O’Brien Icehouse in Melbourne’s Docklands, they have regular league games on Monday nights during the winter sports season.

Australian Ice Hockey League


The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) is Australia’s premier men’s ice hockey league and is made up from ten teams representing Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Newcastle and Sydney. O’Brien Icehouse is the proud home of the two Melbourne teams, Melbourne Ice and Melbourne Mustangs, who between them have won the Goodall National Championship Cup on multiple occasions.

Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League


The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is Australia’s premier women’s ice hockey league and is made up from five teams representing Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney. O’Brien Icehouse is the proud home of the Melbourne Ice Women (MIW) who have won the championship on multiple occasions.

The Melbourne Figure Skating Club (MFSC) hold annual figure skating competitions for Aussie Skate levels to advanced. MFSC has members of all ages and abilities who participiate or volunteer for their events.

Olympic Southern Flyers Ice Racing Club


The Olympic Southern Flyers (OSF) offer recreational speed skating and competitive racing opportunities. They are welcoming and inclusive to everyone who wants to try speed skating regardless of age or skating ability and provide a learning environment that is fun, safe and supportive.

The Docklands Demons Ice Racing Club (DDIRC) offer recreational speed skating and competitive racing opportunities at their home rink O’Brien Icehouse. Established in 2017 with the goal to grow speed skating and create a welcoming and inclusive enviroment.
