The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is made up of five teams from Melbourne (Ice), Adelaide (Rush), Brisbane (Lightning) and Sydney (Sirens) and Perth (Inferno).
The season is held over the summer months with the top four teams playing off in the finals over one weekend. The 2023/24 AWIHL Finals were held at O’Brien Icehouse on the weekend of March 9 and 10 with the Melbourne Ice Women’s team winning the McKowen Memorial Trophy, continuing their hold on the competition in recent years, winning seven of the last ten titles.
