After 7 Years the Aussies are Back in Melbourne – Ice Hockey Challenge 2020
Tickets are now on sale for Australia’s Men’s National Ice Hockey team, the “Mighty Roos”, first game in Australia in almost seven years
The Mighty Roos will play the Victorian All-Stars at O’Brien Icehouse on the 15th and 16th February and is part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the venue, Australia’s premier ice skating and ice sports venue.
The Australian Team’s last game in their home country was in March 2013. Since then the Mighty Roos have played in World Championships in Serbia, Netherlands, Romania, Mexico, Iceland, Croatia and Poland and Winter Games in New Zealand but not here in Australia.
“We can’t wait to play at home. It is amazing to think it is almost seven years since we played a game in Australia and the Victorian All-Stars will certainly be a great challenge, particularly with some of the international players expected to be in their team,” said Matt Armstrong [Australian Player].
