Coach Scott is a Canadian ice hockey player and coach with a diverse and accomplished background. Drafted in the 6th round (165th overall) by the Florida Panthers in 2009, he went on to play in both the NHL and AHL before continuing his career in Europe. He is a two-time Memorial Cup champion with the Windsor Spitfires and a three-time OHL champion with both the Kitchener Rangers and Windsor Spitfires. Internationally, he has competed in top professional leagues in Germany and Austria.

Since joining the Melbourne Mustangs in 2022, Timmins has excelled as both a player and a coach. As head coach, he has led the Mustangs to improved team performance while continuing to contribute on the ice. During the 2022/23 AIHL campaign, Scott was awarded the highest point scorer and league MVP while leading the Melbourne Mustangs to the championship. In 2025, he continues to play an essential role in both coaching and playing for the Mustangs, known for his leadership, versatility, and commitment to the sport.
