Andrew has carved out a dynamic career in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL), hitting the ice with both the Melbourne Mustangs and Melbourne Ice—and skating away with 3 Goodall Cup championships along the way.

Off the ice, Andrew is a Level 2 IIHF certified coach with a serious knack for player development. His coaching journey has taken him from Assistant Coach for the 2018 Victorian U18 Tange Team and the 2019/20 Cochrane Generals (AJHL), to Head Coach roles with the U18 Dockland Ice Wolves and back-to-back stints leading the Victorian U18 Tange Team in 2022 and 2023. These days, he’s putting his passion to work as the IHA Director of Player Development.

Andrew’s coaching philosophy is all about building better players—and better people. He’s a big believer in long-term development, focusing not just on skills, but on character, leadership, and the habits that shape elite athletes. His approach creates a positive, high-performance culture where players grow both on and off the ice.

Additionally, Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, that means he brings a deep understanding of athletic performance, movement, and injury prevention to every practice and game. It’s just one more reason why Andrew’s players are always a step ahead.
